You know, magic that happens in your own hands can truly be a celebration of life's possibilities. So, here's a favourite experimental game called 'MR. J MAGIC' for you right now!
To test your magic mind-reading powers, just for fun let's try an experiement with our magic wavelengths...(humour a man, here...)
First, grab a deck of cards. (Seriously...you can go get one, I'll wait...)

Back? Good. Chuck out any unnecessary cards (Instructions,
Jokers, etc.) and shuffle your cards as much as you want.
(Wow, very good, where'd you learn shuffle like that? Most people drop at least a handful...)
Cool. Alright, now take out any 9 cards from your deck that you want. That's right...ANY 9 cards...
...and you can shuffle those up as much as you want.
Now you can put the rest of the deck away. We won't need it anymore.
OK, time for a magic experiment called "Mr. J Magic". Again, this will be a scientific experiment...it's obviously random and can have random results.
We'll assume you have a table or desk in front of you, and that you're right handed. (If not, naturally reverse the directions...Mr. J loves lefties too!)
Hold your random nine cards in your left hand face down. Now, using your right hand to deal, dealing one card at a time face down unto the table, spell a letter of my name for each card you place down.
For example, you deal down one card and say "M". Deal the second and say, "R". (Forget the period) Now deal the third card and say..."J".
THAT is now your Special Card. Remember it well...burn in into your mind with all your magic mental powers...and we'll see what can be done. Now, place that card (aka YOUR Special Card) face down back onto the remaining pile of cards in your left hand. Place the other two previously dealt cards face down on that left hand pile too, on top of your Special Card. You should now have your Special Card in your mind, and your restored pile of nine random cards in your left hand. Now, let's play a game!
SPELL the FIRST word of YOUR Special Card, placing a card face down on the table for each letter. (For example, if you have a seven, you would spell S-E-V-E-N, dealing one card at a time from your left hand onto the table for each letter.)
When you're done, drop ALL the remaining cards still in your left hand as one pile ONTO the cards you've already dealt face down onto the table. Now, pick up the whole pile in your left hand again.
Spell the middle part of your chosen card, "OF"...dealing one card face down onto the table for each letter, on top of one another, as before. Once again, you drop all remaining cards in your left hand as one pile onto your table-dealt cards. Pick up your restored full pile of cards again in your left hand.
Finally, deal and spell your suit. For example, if your Special Card is "DIAMONDS", spell "D-I-A-M-O-N-D-S" onto the table one card at a time face down, saying each letter as you deal a card. Finally, drop all remaining cards in your left hand onto your dealt cards on the table. Now, pick up your face-down restored stack in your left hand once again.
OK...you've been very patient...so now, hopefully, it's MAGIC time!
Remember, we've been dealing with RANDOM cards YOU selected all along! How could old Mr. J possibly know which random cards you would choose, and since all spellings of individual cards are different, how could either of us guess where your Special Card would end up?
It's MAGIC time...so please spell MAGIC one letter at a time, slowly placing one card onto the table for each letter in the word 'MAGIC' "M...A...G...I...C." When you get to 'C', hold that 'C' card face down in your right hand...
QUICK...shout the name of your Special Card out loud!!
Wow! You're kidding! Holy Galoshes!
Now, slowly turn over that random 'C' card in your right hand!
