Cormier, Dave Gunning, Catherine MacLellan, Terry Kelly, Valdy, Mary Frances Leahy⭐️ (daughter of Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy), and MANY MORE top talents!😎👌Since 1997, the small Nova Scotia community of Canso annually welcomes over 10,000 Music Lovers (obviously ballooning its normal population many, many times over), to enjoy a celebration of songwriting, fellowship, and Pure Magical FUN!🤗❤️🤩You know, speaking to you from the heart...having attended hundreds of different concerts and music festivals over the years...STANFEST is THE Festival.🎵🎶🏆👍👍It's the annual place to recharge your batteries.⚡️🔋 There's a special energy in the air, crackling musical emotion and passion, an ethos...an atmosphere of JOY. 💫Over the years, yours truly has met new best friends here, had romances, and fondly remembers many wild campground parties, late (late) into the night.🥳 Even wrote articles about these experiences for the newspaper (see attached). Now, as one of the actual hired performers...well...have you ever wondered what it looks like when a dream comes true?🤔❓️ (You'll see firsthand, this July...)😉As you know, the late (and TRULY great) ⭐️STAN ROGERS⭐️ was the 'Poet of the People'.🙏 The festival now held in his honour for over a quarter century is the glorious musical continuation of Stan's larger-than-life legacy.❤️How does StanFest attract top performers and fans from all over the world, maintaining its rep as 'Canada's Songwriting Festival?' 🤔❓️Here's a Magical story: Didja know the year ⭐️DON McLEAN⭐️ was scheduled, he almost didn't make it, due to heavy NS fog forcing his plane to turn around? Well, as it happened, Don luckily made it just in time for the final Sunday show...and as the legend took the Canso stage to sing "American Pie"...a RAINBOW came out.
